Both entries want booking well in advance, and one of them will not let you in at all without it. Do the admin at home, in a chair, before you have any romantic feelings about the trip.
Monday closes most things here, as it does almost everywhere. I went in November, which gave me clean light and cool mornings and no regrets about either.
